The Vlinx™ family of Serial Ethernet Servers transparently connects, configures, and communicates with serial devices over Ethernet using a single IP address. Available in 1, 2 and 4 port versions. Each model uses DB9 male serial connectors and supports RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485. Desktop, panel and DIN-mountable — Vlinx offers outstanding flexibility and value for industrial and commercial applications.
The ESP90x family integrate the benefits of Ethernet communications with existing serial devices by offering the combination of three serial interfaces, RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485. The Ethernet connection will auto select 10BaseT or 100BaseTX. These serial servers provide Windows host control over serial devices located virtually anywhere on a TCP/IP or UDP/IP Ethernet connection. They even give authorized users control over the connected serial device and the server configuration from anywhere outside the LAN.
- Virtual COM port
- TCP/IP socket and tunneling
- UDP/IP communications
Heartbeat ensures reliable communications
In case of a power failure or loss of the Ethernet connection, the Vlinx Serial Server automatically reconnects the TCP data connection.
Intuitive management software
Vlinx software allows simple access to the Serial Server menu settings. Telnet and Console mode may also be used to configure the server.
Once Vlinx is connected to the LAN, just open the B&B management software and it will instantly search the LAN and display the Serial Ethernet Servers found.
