Lightning arrestors protect sensitive radio equipment from high-energy transients during lightning strikes – preventing costly repairs and/or equipment replacement. These lightning arrestors suppress surges to less than 45 Volts in ~100 ns. They are designed with a rugged housing, high quality plated brass "N" connectors and allow bulkhead mounting and connector pass-through. In the presence of energy and voltage surges, a gas discharge tube changes from an open-circuit to a short-circuit, providing surges with a direct path to Ground.
